Titlt! for Firefox shows DOM inspection in 3-D models. http://blog.mozilla.com/tilt/

Dragonfly for Opera has color pickers with full palette creation off of images. Dragonfly also has powerful JS step-through tools for fine tuning JS dev.

IE10 will have full support for older versions (when Dev Tools is installed) with no need for VMs. New debug tools allow for inspected elements to be pulled from the DOM with JS and CSS for all elements within selection to be pulled as well. Very high HTML5 support.

Look for responsive tools coming from FF, Chrome, and Opera. Chrome will allow full emulation via USB of Webkit Inspector on Mobile devices. Opera allows for full source view and interoperability across all devices.

HTML5 spec adds in lots of patterns for the future. Many of the Console APIs come from older versions of Firebug – when a pattern is successful in this space, it becomes the de facto standard. $0 and “Inspect.” allow user to jump between toolsets. App Devs is a new toolset coming that allows app developers to run the kit to debug more “native” browser tools for HTML5
